Pastry Chef

*Job Overview*We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a variety of delicious pastries and desserts that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. We are catering to about 750 per day and looking for someone to work over nights to bake for the next day.*Duties** Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.* Decorate cakes and pastries with creativity and precision to enhance visual appeal.* Package finished products for display or customer orders, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.* Assist in food production and preparation tasks as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen.* Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations at all times.* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.* Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or customers regarding pastry selections.*Qualifications** Proven experience in pastry preparation or baking within a culinary environment.* Strong skills in cake decorating and presentation techniques.* Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations in the food industry.* Excellent knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques related to pastry production.* Previous experience in catering or restaurant settings is preferred but not mandatory.* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.* Strong attention to detail with a passion for creating visually appealing desserts.* Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
