SYL Roofing Supply is seeking a highly organized and motivated Delivery Supervisor to oversee our delivery operations, will be responsible for managing a team of delivery drivers, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of roofing materials to our customers, and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a thorough understanding of logistics and delivery processes within the building materials or related industry. If you are looking for a fast pace and growing company this is your opportunity!*Responsibilities:** Ensure proper maintenance of all delivery trucks to prevent costly repairs and downtime.* Conduct regular vehicle inspections to comply with OSHA and DOT regulations, to maintain a safe working environment.* Oversee daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure all trucks are in optimal condition.* Monitor fuel usage, vehicle mileage, and overall truck performance.* Coordinate with mechanics and service providers for preventive maintenance and necessary repairs.* Ensure all drivers and delivery staff use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).* Conduct regular safety audits and training to reinforce compliance with company policies and federal regulations.* Investigate and report safety incidents or violations, implementing corrective actions as needed.* Ensure accurate loading and unloading of materials, adhering to safety regulations.* Ensure compliance with all transportation laws and regulations.* Ensure drivers provide excellent customer service during deliveries.* Maintain a positive and professional image of the company.*Qualifications:** High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.* 1+ years of experience in delivery operations, knowledge of roofing industry is a must.* Proven experience in supervising and managing delivery teams.* Strong knowledge of local and regional roadways and traffic patterns.* Fleet Management, familiarity with DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial vehicles.* Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.* Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, both English and Spanish.* Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft).* Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed (may occasionally assist with loading/unloading).* Ability to operate a forklift will be helpful.*Benefits may include:** 401-k Matching* Dental, vision and ancillary benefits available.* Employer paid life insurance.* Paid Time Off.*Equal Opportunity Employer / Drug Free Workplace**Job Type:* Full-time*Salary Pay: *$1,000.00 per week*Shift:** Saturdays, as needed.* Hour of Operations: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 6:00 pm / Saturdays: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm*Work Location:* In personJob Type: Full-timePay: $1,050.00 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceShift:* Day shift* Morning shiftJob Type: Full-timePay: $1,050.00 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceAbility to Commute:* Tampa, FL 33605 (Required)Work Location: In person
