Light, medium, and heavy vehicles, maritime platforms, aircraft, and personnel protection systems each present their own protection challenges and different theatres and operational requirements mean that protection level needs vary*Job Overview*We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various types of presses and machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards while adhering to safety protocols. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.*Duties*Maintain quality standards, including following all instructions and tasks given by the supervisor and/or lead.* Operates production machinery in accordance with training and work instructions. Assigned machines may include Pinette Press, Lectra, Brio, micrometer, caliper, other measuring guides, utility knives, bandsaw machine(s), heat gun, hot knife, drum actuator, ovens, computers, and/or similar equipment.* Lectra operator responsible for cutting material in accordance with specifications.* Gate inspector is responsible for inspecting all products produced by the Press and Waterjet in accordance with specifications using the proper measuring instruments such as (but not limited to) micrometers and calipers.* Complete all traceability documentation to ensure proper inventory can be kept.* Responsible for ensuring the correct recipe in used for the press in accordance with work instructions.* Loading and unloading of molds in accordance with the work instructions. Make sure hoses and thermocouples are properly connected.* Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.* Wear company Personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform tasks in a safe manner.* Produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.* Detect and report defective material and questionable conditions to your department Lead.* Adhere to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety policies/procedures.* Maintain work area and equipment in a neat and orderly condition.* Report all occupational injuries or illnesses to the supervisor or lead immediately.* Report any equipment/vehicle problems or concerns to the supervisor or lead immediately.Minimum Qualifications / Experience:* Detail orientated.* Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.* Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.* Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.* Willing to ask for assistance when needed.* Willing to learn different tasks.* Basic Math SkillsWork Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
