Job Overview:Universal Grinding Corporation is seeking a skilled DOUBLE DISC Grinding Operator to join our team. As a family-owned business established in 1971, we cater to a diverse range of industries including medical, aerospace, automotive, and more. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our operations by utilizing their expertise in grinding various materials to precise specifications.Duties:- Operate double disc grinding machinery to fabricate parts according to specifications.- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as gauges, calipers and micrometers for accurate measurements.- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure precise grinding requirements are met.- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals efficiently.- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.Skills:- Proficiency in double disc grinding techniques is a MUST, Blanchard or surface grinding is a plus.- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with sheet metal.- Experience in blueprint reading is preferred.- Competency in using precision measuring instruments like manual micrometers, gages, manual calipers.This position requires a candidate who can demonstrate attention to detail, possess strong communication skills, and work effectively within a team environment. The successful candidate should be able to adapt to changing priorities and contribute positively to our company culture.At Universal Grinding Corporation, we offer competitive compensation commensurate with experience and knowledge. This full-time position operates on a 1st shift schedule from Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime opportunities on Fridays.
