Description:Job Title: Support StaffJob Type: Full-time, hourly, non- exemptLocation: Oceanside/VistaHourly Rate $21 -22 an hourShift: 2pm - 10:30pm weekdays, weekends open availabilityWe are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as Support Staff As a Support Staff, you will be responsible for direct care services for clients in an outpatient mental health/substance abuse program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mental health, recovery] and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Benefits:- Health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance- 401(k) plan with company match- Paid time off- Professional development opportunitiesRequirements:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide overall support to House Managers and clientsProvide on-site assistance to House Managers at CCI officeAssist House Managers and Case Managers with client transportation to CCI office, scheduled AA meetings, outside appointments and other recreational activitiesTransport clients in company owned vehicles to various locations and outside appointmentsWhen required to transport clients: Must be 21 years of age or over, with a clean driving record Prior to transporting clients, ensure that there are no alert signals active (i.e., check engine light, TPMS system, etc.) and that tires are properly inflated in accordance with manufacturer standards. Accompany and transport clients as assigned. Arrives promptly and ensures clients prompt arrival for appointment. Follow vehicle operation rules. Practices defensive driving techniques can verbalize protocol for transportation safety and for management of out-of-control behaviors. Reports to Nursing and Lead Therapist concerns and/or issues related to clients’ transportation.Oversee client adherence to chore and meal planning scheduleAssist House Managers with facilitation of group sessions at home (i.e., Meditation group, Meal Planning, etc.)Observe each client’s behavior daily and issue infractions when necessarySummarize each client’s activities and behavior daily in Shift ReportEnsures that the environment of care adheres to safe care of the clients adhering to policies, procedures and standards of care.Appropriately documents clinical and administrative work.Performs, monitors and documents vital signs. Collects urine drug screens on all admissions and random UDS on all PHP, IOP and OP clients, as appropriate. Attends facility/community meeting, searches belongings, collects unauthorized items to be placed in a secured area; conducts client rounds and perimeter checks every thirty minutes to ensure the safety of all clients.Performs basic housekeeping duties during course of shift, including supporting clients in the life skills of, but not limited to, cleaning rooms and bathrooms (toilets, sinks, showers), cleaning microwaves, cleaning dirty utility rooms, doing laundry, sweeping and mopping floor, trash collection, making beds, etc.Performs other duties and tasks as required.When required to transport clients:Must be 21 years of age or over, with a clean driving recordPrior to transporting clients, ensure that there are no alert signals active (i.e., check engine light, TPMS system, etc.) and that tires are properly inflated in accordance with manufacturer standards.Accompany and transport clients as assigned.Arrives promptly and ensures clients prompt arrival for appointment.Follow vehicle operation rules.Practices defensive driving techniquescan verbalize protocol for transportation safety and for management of out-of-control behaviors.Reports to Nursing and Lead Therapist concerns and/or issues related to clients’ transportation.Other duties as assignedMINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation, Training, and Experience Required:High school diploma or equivalent preferredOne (1) year of experience in behavioral health care, preferred.Attainment of at least 21 years of ageA Health Screening with negative TB Test Results • Current CPR/ First Aid certification.Drivers License, driving required per duties listedShould be experienced as Support Staff or Mental Health Technician, preferably in the field of Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
