We are also a custom manufacturer and supplier of electrical motors, electromagnetic motion devices, protection items, and earth conditioning equipment.*Job Summary:*We are seeking a versatile and reliable Manual Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operating manual machines such as lathes, mills, grinders and drill presses to produce precision metal components according to specifications. If you are looking for an opportunity to grow your skills in a manufacturing environment while contributing to high-quality production standards, we encourage you to apply for the Manual Machinist position.*Key Responsibilities:** Set up and operate manual machines (lathes, milling machines, grinders, saws, etc.).* Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.* Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for each job.* Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators.* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools.* Maintain quality standards by inspecting finished parts and documenting results.* Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues during the production process.* Deburr and finish machined parts as necessary.* Maintain a clean and organized work area.* Follow all company safety rules and procedures.* Perform other related duties as assigned by management.*Basic Qualifications:** High school diploma or GED required; technical training or apprenticeship preferred.* Minimum 3 years of experience as a manual machinist or equivalent.* Strong understanding of shop math, including geometry and trigonometry.* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.* Familiarity with various metals and their machining characteristics.* Skilled in using precision measuring instruments.* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.*Why Join Us?** Competitive pay and benefits package (health, dental vision, STD, LTD, Life Insurance, 401(k), PTO and more).* Opportunities for cross-training and skill development.* A supportive team environment.* Stability and growth in a well-established company.Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 10 hour shift* Day shiftApplication Question(s):* How many years of manual machining experience do you have?Ability to Commute:* Claremont, NC 28610 (Required)Work Location: In person
