Recreation Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Recreation Leader to join our team. As a Recreation Leader, you will plan, organize, and lead engaging recreational and therapeutic activities designed to promote the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents in an assisted living facility. This role fosters a positive, inclusive environment that encourages resident participation and enhances their quality of life.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Plan, organize, and lead daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs including games, crafts, music, fitness, educational workshops, outings, and seasonal events.* Encourage resident participation by tailoring activities to meet a range of physical and cognitive abilities.* Collaborate with nursing, dietary, and administrative staff to coordinate activities around residents' needs and schedules.* Maintain and update the activity calendar; ensure events are posted and communicated effectively to residents and families.* Document resident participation and preferences to support individualized engagement plans.* Set up, clean, and maintain activity areas and supplies before and after events.* Accompany residents on off-site outings, ensuring safety and accessibility.* Celebrate resident birthdays and holidays with special events and personalized recognition.* Respond to feedback and suggestions from residents, family members, and staff to improve programs.* Ensure activities align with facility policies, state regulations, and safety guidelines.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $16.00 - $18.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 4 hour shift* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to FridayWork Location: In person
