Extended Day Program Counselor

Albany PAL is seeking individuals who have a desire to work with youth and improve their community to join our team of Afterschool Counselors. This position, which typically operates from 3 pm-7 pm depending on location, with weekend availability and flexible scheduling, serves as an excellent opportunity for anyone who wants to make a big impact on the social, emotional, and educational well being of youth.*Responsibilities Include:** Assist with Program student to staff ratio,* Manage the planning and executing of a wide range of Enrichment programs.*Specific duties will include: ** Program set up and clean up;* Distribution of dinner;* Checking to ensure that activities are unfolding on schedule and that adult supervision is in place.* Trouble-shooting when activities and/or supervision do not unfold as planned.* Work with the PAL Executive Director, Program Manager, Program Coordinator, Site Coordinator, and Building Principal to ensure that transitions between extended day activities are smooth and identify any issues and report them in a timely manner.Complete any other reasonable duties assigned by the PAL Executive Director, or your supervisor as may be required.
