Die Cast Operator

*Job Summary*Interacts with members of the Die Cast Department (machine operators, leads, and supervisor), Quality Control (inspectors and leads), Maintenance Department, and Tool Crib Attendants.This position is responsible operating a numbers manual, semi-automatic, and automatic die casting machines which produce a variety of die cast parts. The operator will be responsible for the removal, installation, and operating of die cast dies.*Detailed Description*· (70%) Operates all semi-automatic and automatic die casting machines as per approved die casting procedures. This includes starting machines, turning off machines, adjusting sprue fault, and starting robots.· (10%) Performs hourly quality checks and must complete SPC form.· (5%) Performs set-ups on any of the semi-automatic and automatic die casting machines.· (5%) Performs repairs/ maintenance on any die casting machine in the department as required and upon authorization by the supervisor and/or lead.
