Custom Apparel Print Technician

We are seeking an experienced DTG (Direct-to-Garment) Printing Specialist to join our print shop team at 1st Place Spiritwear. In this role, you will be responsible for operating DTG printers to produce high-quality custom apparel, ensuring efficient production while maintaining our standards for color accuracy, durability, and customer satisfaction. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on DTG experience who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment focused on school spiritwear.Key Responsibilities* Operate DTG printing equipment to produce custom designs on garments, including t-shirts, hoodies, and other apparel.* Prepare garments for printing, including pretreatment, loading, and alignment to ensure optimal print quality.* Perform color matching, file preparation, and RIP software operations (e.g., using software like Epson Garment Creator or similar).* Conduct quality control checks on printed items, troubleshooting issues such as ink clogs, misalignments, or color discrepancies.* Maintain and clean DTG printers and related equipment to minimize downtime and ensure longevity.* Collaborate with the design and production teams to meet daily order volumes and deadlines.* Assist in inventory management of inks, pretreat solutions, and garments.* Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.Qualifications and Requirements* Proven experience (at least 1-2 years) in DTG printing, preferably in a high-volume production environment.* Strong understanding of DTG processes, including garment pretreatment, ink types, and curing methods.* Proficiency with printing software and tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or RIP software).* Attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality prints.* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.* High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in printing or graphic arts is a plus.* Team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.Preferred Skills* Experience with other printing methods (e.g., screen printing or DTF) for versatility.* Knowledge of garment types and fabrics, especially cotton blends like Bella Canvas.* Familiarity with on-demand production workflows and order management systems.What We Offer* Competitive salary based on experience.* Opportunities for growth in a family-owned company.* Employee discounts on spiritwear products.* Supportive team environment with community involvement.* Standard benefits package (health, dental, etc.—details available upon application).Job Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 – 60 per weekSchedule:* Day shiftWork Location: In person
