Plant Operator

Radco, a specialty fluids manufacturer in Batavia, IL, is growing and adding to their strong team. We need one more Plant Operator! Under supervision, a Plant Operator I performs a variety of skilled technical duties and semi-skilled labor in the operation and maintenance of Radco Industries production. The Plant Operator I assists with the manufacturing, packaging, and shipping of Radcolube® products. Radco Industries offers a Plant Operator career path with opportunities to advance to Plant Operator II, Plant Operator III, Assistant Plant Manager, and Plant Manager.Responsibilities* Load and unload trucks, including Less Than Truckload (LTL), Full Truckload (FTL), BULK carriers, and shipping containers.* Understand various shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, Safety Data Sheets, and Certificates of Analysis (COAs).* Perform pre-shipment outbound quality checklist, confirming correct product and labeling per Work Order (WO).* Assist in filling line operation and final packaging of various container sizes.* Adhere to safety and environmental rules, including operational and safety regulations pertaining to plant operations and equipment usage.* Perform calibration check of scale accuracy at the beginning of each work shift.* Control and operate various production and packaging equipment.* Perform preventive and routine maintenance under supervision of plant management.* Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure proper machine operation.* Replenish inventory as needed and assist in monthly spot/cycle counts.* Perform additional assigned Radco plant duties, including inspecting, monitoring, troubleshooting, performance testing, and documenting plant processes.* Install, maintain, repair, modify, troubleshoot, and service plant operations machinery and equipment.* Perform general plant facility maintenance and grounds maintenance duties.* Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts and truck-mounted platforms, and assist in unloading chemicals.* Participate in special projects such as construction of piping, electrical, and structural systems.* Participate in the development of procedures for departmental improvements.Requirements* Knowledge of E-commerce packaging procedures and SHIPSTATION software preferred but not required.* Physical capability to stand for long periods to perform required tasks.* Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.Career AdvancementPlant Operator Level I will be eligible to test for promotion to Plant Operator Level II after 6 months of employment.Job Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to FridayAbility to Commute:* Batavia, IL 60510 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Batavia, IL 60510: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
