POSITION DESCRIPTION:The Lining Work Cell Coach will oversee the day-to-day operation of their assigned Work Cell. The Lining Work Cell Coach has overall responsibility for the operations of their Work Cell and may require escalation of issues to other supporting departments (i.e. Maintenance, Automation, Slitter Room and Quality) and their Supervisor. This position will report directly to the Supervisor of their shift.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform cell walk at shift exchange with previous WCCEnsure labor density plan is followedReview machine downtime to ensure optimized labor assignmentsEnsure machine/cell readiness for productionPD-104 compliance and sign off process (beginning and job changes)Perform Gemba walks every 2 hours-doc results on MDIEnsure Op AMs are being completed and validate mechanic center lining for machines that are runningHold TPM meeting weekly and maintain Found vs. FixedEnsure proper shutdown of machines :End of run, no-op, and Holiday shutdownPerformance of assigned LPAsInvestigate Prod Anomalies (pulls, DT, Red Screen, HrxHr, Labor variance, proactively reduce scrap) follow reaction plans accordinglyCommunicate/escalate operational issues with shift supervisorLead, support, and develop operator skill level in work cell for better performanceEnsure compliance plant initiatives ISO, TPM and GMPManage scrap waste stream and drive reduction within the cellAssist with machine breakdowns and escalate to support groupsSKILLS REQUIREDAbility to challenge the status quo to facilitate continuous improvementAbility to collaborate across roles and diverse groups, gather and share feedbackAbility to stay current in best practices and be a continuous learnerAbility to plan and manage routine maintenanceStrong communication, presentation, planning and organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrategic thinking skillsAbility to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, reports and memos.Ability to write correspondence and reports.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations, to other supervisors and in small group settings to employees of his/her department.Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.Ability to apply astute understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving employees.Ability to determine problems if rate is not made on a specific machine.Associates degree or relevant experiencePrevious experience supervising employees within a manufacturing, military or industrial environment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Work performed in a manufacturing environment including both office and shop floor and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards and manufacturing equipment/machines.Required to walk, sit and/or stand for up to 11.75 hours per day.Strong visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data, KPI’s and figures, viewing a computer terminal and reading.May be required to reach with hands and arms.Hearing, vision, and speaking within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive information and to prepare or inspect documents or provide instruction.As needed, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs.
