*About WCR: *WCR is a manufacturer and service provider of heat exchanger solutions. The company specializes in the design, manufacturing, and service of plates and gaskets for all makes and models of plate heat exchangers (PHE). These PHEs offer our clients high reliability of heat transfer, low capital investment and installation costs, reducing maintenance, operating costs, wear, and corrosion.*Job Summary: *As a Press Operator II, you will set-up, operate, monitor, and maintain Plate press equipment used in the production of high-quality plates. This role requires specialized knowledge of operating cell machinery, a strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to meet production standards while ensuring the consistent quality and integrity of plates used in PHEs.*Key Responsibilities: *_Responsibilities include but are not limited to:_· Prepare, assist setup and validate hydraulic and mechanical presses, as well as robot and additional equipment in production cell according to production specifications and tooling requirements.· Load raw materials and plate molds properly and ensure machine readiness before production runs.· Adjust settings for cycle time, pressure based on specific product requirements.· Inspect raw material before introducing it to press.· Monitor equipment performance and process to ensure uniformity and compliance with quality standards.· Conduct in-process inspections and identify defects in formed plates such as pressing depths, surface imperfections.· Record production data and machine metrics accurately using digital or manual log systems.· Communicate with team members, quality inspectors, and supervisors to maintain workflow and resolve any production issues.· Follow all company safety guidelines, lockout/tagout protocols, and use appropriate PPE.· Participate in training programs for equipment operation, quality systems, and workplace safety.· All other duties as assigned.*Qualifications:*_*Required:*_· High school diploma or equivalent.· 2+ years of experience operating hydraulic & mechanical presses or similar hydraulic forming equipment.· Strong understanding of hydraulic forming processes, mold alignment, and tonnage settings.· Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, mold diagrams, and production specifications.· Familiarity with temperature control systems, hydraulic presses, and PLC-based equipment.· Basic math and computer literacy for data entry and machine interface use._*Preferred:*_· Technical certification or training in machine operation or industrial maintenance.· Experience with metal forming processes.· Experience with ABB robots or similar.· Experience with Yangli mechanical presses or similar.*Physical Requirements:*· Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.· Manual dexterity for operating controls and handling molds or components.· Frequent bending, lifting, twisting, and reaching required in a production environment.*Work Environment:*· Manufacturing floor with exposure to hot surfaces, hydraulic machinery, and moderate noise levels.· Use of protective equipment including gloves, arm protection, eye and ear protection, and safety shoes required.*Compensation: *We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your total compensation package.
