Machinist/Machine Builder

We are an established and steadily growing automation and specialty machine company looking to fill a full-time position with a detail oriented, dependable person.This is a 1st shift position.The Machinist fulfills the critical role of bringing designs to life in production. We build various projects ranging from simple fixtures to fully automated robot work cells. Machinists are expected to have strong mechanical background and exceptional attention to detail.Education:· High School Diploma or GED with a Journeyman’s card preferred.Experience:· Three to five (3-5) years’ machining experience with a well-rounded mechanical background. Experience with the assembly of automation equipment preferred but not required.Skills/Requirements:· Mechanical, pneumatic, blueprint reading (reading electrical schematics is a plus)· Manual Machining (Mill, lathe, surface grinder etc.)· CNC Machining (Mill)· Mathematical proficiencies· Collaboration / problem solving with creative solutions· Good oral and written communication and attention to detail· Our ideal candidate will be a machinist looking for a career in the machine building industry with a passion for bringing ideas and automated equipment to life. This is a first shift position.Physical Demands:While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk, hear, read, write, possess good vision and follow directions with the ability to learn and retain information. Must be able to lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds.
