*Job Summary*Food & Beverage Assistant Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing daily operations within the restaurant, banquet facilities and food service environment. This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness. The Assistant Manager will also assist in managing staff, training new employees, and implementing effective operational strategies.Catering - The assistant manager is responsible for preparing all event documentation and coordinates with Sales, property departments and customer to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases of property events. This position primarily handles less complex property events. Works with his/her supervisor to ensure their property events have a seamless turnover from sales to service and back to sales. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events. Candidates must bring a minimum of two years of catering and conference services management experience.*Duties** Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.* Oversee shift management to ensure smooth service during peak hours.* Train and mentor staff on food handling procedures, customer service excellence, and operational protocols.* Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager to develop menus and implement special events such as banquets.* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.* Address guest inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.* Support bartending operations when necessary, ensuring adherence to beverage service standards.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, bar, and kitchen facilities.*Skills** Experience in a quick service fast food restaurant environment is preferred.* Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team motivation and development.* Knowledge of food service management principles and practices.* Proficient in food handling techniques to ensure safety and quality.* Excellent hospitality skills with a passion for providing outstanding customer experiences.* Ability to manage shifts effectively while maintaining high service standards.* Experience in staff training programs to enhance team performance.* Familiarity with banquet operations and event planning is a plus.* Bartending skills are beneficial for supporting beverage service needs.Join our team as an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager where you can contribute to creating memorable dining experiences while developing your career in the hospitality industry.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $18.00 per hourExpected hours: No more than 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Paid time off* Paid training* Vision insuranceShift:* Day shift* Evening shift* Morning shiftWork Location: In person
