We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and passionate *Food & Beverage Manager* who is ready to elevate the guest experience and inspire a high-performing team across our restaurant, bar, and in-room dining outlets.*Position Overview*As our *Food & Beverage Manager*, you will lead the charge in creating memorable dining experiences that reflect the Thompson brand's edge and sophistication. You'll oversee the daily operations of Surveyor restaurant, Rooftop bar, Lobby bar and room service with a hands-on approach, ensuring each outlet runs efficiently, profitably, and with a consistent touch of personalized service. This role requires a balance of creative vision, operational excellence, and a deep passion for food, beverage, and people.You’ll collaborate with culinary, bar, and front-of-house teams to deliver unforgettable moments, manage financial performance, and maintain the highest standards in service, cleanliness, and team culture. Whether you're curating seasonal menus, enhancing service standards, or supporting a guest celebration, every moment counts.*What You’ll Do** Lead and oversee all F&B operations: restaurant, bar, and in-room dining* Cultivate a warm, polished, and service-forward culture that reflects the Thompson brand* Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed revenue goals and guest satisfaction scores* Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor a diverse, high-energy team* Implement health and safety standards in line with local regulations and Thompson expectations* Partner with the Executive Chef and Senior Food and Beverage Manager to design and evolve menus that surprise and delight* Forecast labor and operational needs, manage budgets, and drive cost control initiatives* Ensure seamless guest experiences through thoughtful floor presence, conflict resolution, and service recovery* Stay ahead of hospitality trends and translate them into fresh experiences for our guests*What We’re Looking For** Minimum *4 years of progressive experience* in the food & beverage industry* At least *6 months to 1 year of management or supervisory experience** Proven ability to lead service teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment* Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting* Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and fine dining trends strongly preferred* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you inspire people and resolve challenges gracefully* Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional languages a plus* Food Handler’s or Service Worker Permit (as required by jurisdiction)*Why Thompson Washington DC?*Located just steps from Nationals Park and the scenic Anacostia River, Thompson Washington DC is more than just a hotel – it’s a hub for culture, cuisine, and community.
