The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applying paint finishes, repairing fiberglass structures, and working with composite materials. This role involves ensuring high-quality standards in finishing processes, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals. The technician will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic and structural integrity of our products.*Duties & Responsibilities:** *Paint Application:* Prepare surfaces and apply paint finishes using various techniques, ensuring a smooth and even application while adhering to safety standards and quality control processes.* *Fiberglass Repair:* Perform repairs on fiberglass components, including surface preparation, resin application, and sanding to achieve a seamless finish.* *Composite Work:* Fabricate and repair composite materials, following specifications and ensuring durability and performance standards are met.* *Surface Preparation:* Clean, sand, and prime surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and coatings.* *Quality Control:* Inspect finished products for defects and ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.* *Equipment Maintenance:* Maintain and troubleshoot painting and fiberglass equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.* *Documentation:* Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the process.* *Collaboration:* Work closely with other technicians and departments to ensure timely project completion and adherence to deadlines.*Other Duties/ Skills:** Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.* Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.* Ability to lift and move heavy materials.* Willingness to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to chemicals and dust.* Prolonged standing, bending, and reaching may be required.*Experience:** *Fiberglass and Composite Repair*: Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in fiberglass and composite repair, including patching, molding, sanding, and reshaping for high-quality structural and cosmetic finishes.* *Paint Application and Finishing*: Skilled in various painting techniques, including spray guns, brush, or roller applications. Familiarity with matching and blending colors and achieving a smooth, even finish on composite materials.* *Knowledge of Tools and Equipment*: Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as grinders, sanders, polishers, and precision measuring tools.
