CORERESPONSIBILITIES*_* The Lead Staff/Direct Support Professional is responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations occurring within their designated programs.* They provide direct supervision for DSP Staff and the program's residents to ensure that the program is functioning optimally and remains in compliance with the agency's policies and procedures and Oregon Administrative Rules.* This includes all responsibilities, duties, and tasks applicable to the Support Professional, as detailed in the Direct Professional Job Description_*II. FINANCIAL:*_* Maintains finances within the program for both the agency and individual residents being served;* Reviews individual clients' financial books safeguarding against misuse or mismanagement of client funds occurs weekly, more frequently if errors are persistent* Assists with the implementation of household budget, working closely with the Regional Coordinator;* Reviews household financial books safeguarding against misuse or mismanagement of program funds weekly, more frequently if errors are persistent;* Holds Direct Support Professionals members accountable for any conflicts or errors, and provides essential training as needed regarding financial recordkeeping; and_*III. SCHEDULING*_*a. *Maintains scheduling responsibilities for all assigned programsb. Maintains attendance points and procedures for program DSP's_*IV. EMPLOYEE MANAGEMENT*_* Provides individualized staff training for employees, as needed;* Oversees program-specific new hire employee training;* Completes core competencies with all Direct Support Professionals upon hiring and throughout probationary hire period;* Completes employee performance reviews for all Direct Support Professionals within their program, as well as plans of improvement, as needed;* Leads staff meetings and trainings to ensure program efficiency and competency is met; and* Participates in management meetings as scheduled_*V. MAINTAINING HEALTH & SAFETY*_* Reviews Fire Drill Records to reflect routine fire drills are occurring as specified by the OAR's* Inspects the general structure of the home to ensure the home is aesthetically pleasing to the senses and does not reflect and health and/or safety violations at least twice weekly, more frequently if errors are persistent;* Designated by Executive Director to be contact for all emergency protective physical interventions used in any of the programs ;* Completes MSDS reviews and documents reviews accordingly;* Provides administrative reviews on all incident reports and ensures these are submitted to the Regional Coordinator within 2 days of incident, unless the incident is classified as a crisis, in which case, the report is to be submitted within 24 hours of occurrence;* Assists in the development and implementation of all Individual Support Plans and corresponding support documents for each individuals within the designated program;* Convey needed changes to Regional Coordinator for assistance in completion of any changes to support plans or supporting documents_*VI. MEDICAL*_* Checks in cycle medications monthly by reviewing medication and Medication Administrative Records;* Responsible for contacting the pharmacy for errors/changes to medications or orders as needed;* Reviews MAR's throughout the week to ensure accuracy and safeguard against medical administration errors or errors in documentation* Ensures all medications and treatments are being administered per MD order by checking all MD orders against the current MAR weekly, more frequently if errors are persistent.* Ensures all medications and treatments to be administered are signed* Reviews any PRN's administered, also noting the date, time, what the medication was given for, and the follow up result at least twice weekly, more frequently if errors are persistent;* Ensures Direct Support Professionals provide an Incident Report for any/all medication administration errors or irregularities* Reviews IR's to ensure that they are appropriate to be submitted to the Regional Coordinator and submits IR's within 2 days of incident occurring.* Follows-up with Direct Support Professionals regarding all medical appointments for clients, to ensure proper documentation is secured within the home and implemented accordingly;* Assists with medical appointments for residents, as needed_*VII. DOCUMENTATION*_* Ensures Program documentation is maintained in a manner, which is functional and allows for easy access for others ;* Checks client records throughout the week to ensure client documentation is occurring as written in each client's individual support plan and behavior support plan at least twice weekly, more frequently if errors are persistent_*VIII. MISCELLANEOUS*_* Attend laisons with CDDP or ISP Teams, as needed_*IX. OTHER DUTIES*_* *Teamwork and Communication: *Respect resident(s), fellow employees, parents, guardians, and case managers by listening to ideas and feelings; Be honest and straightforward; Address issues and concerns between co-workers sensitively and respectfully* *Supervision, Support and Interaction: *Maintain supervision requirements according to the Oregon Administrative Rules, Walker Support Services Agency Policies and Procedures, Resident's Individual Support Plans, and Behavior Support Plans/Guidelines as necessary* *Community Awareness: *Represent Walker Support Services in a positive way* *Physical Demands: *May be required to lift up to 50 lbs; Requires basic office work, including sitting, walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, bending and operating office equipment that is hand operated; Driving required – must have valid driver’s license with no more than two moving violation; proof of automobile liability insurance when driving personal vehicle.* *Work Environment: *While doing this job, you could be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and body fluids, which can contain AIDS and Hepatitis viruses; Chemical exposure is limited to cleaners, disinfectants, and personal care items.* *Confidentiality of Information: *Maintain confidentiality of Walker Support Services information regarding individuals including employees, residents, parents, and situations*X. QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE** Must be at least 21 years of age* Must have at least 2 full years of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in a care home setting* Current Driver’s License* First Aid and CPR certification - This will be provided by the agency, if needed* DHS Fingerprint and Background Check compliance* Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet)* Can make a commitment to be meaningful to a resident’s life* Can participate in pre-service training about your new job* Respect residents and families* Can participate in training classes as scheduled by your supervisor* Can demonstrate that you are a creative problem solver and have good listening skills* Must not have any founded allegations of abuse of a resident/child, etc.* Effectively able to conduct & document fire drills quarterly per Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR)Job Type: Full-timePay: From $20.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Paid time off* Referral programExperience:* DSP: 2 years (Required)* House Manager of I/DD Program: 1 year (Required)License/Certification:* OIS (Oregon Intervention Systems) Certificate (Preferred)* iLearn/Workday Oregon Transcripts (Preferred)* CPR/First Aid (Preferred)* Driver's License (Required)Work Location: In person
