German Doner Kebab (GDK) is a rapidly growing international restaurant brand that offers a fast casual dining experience, serving gourmet Doner Kebabs that are freshly made and uniquely different.GDK is looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to build and lead our team in our upcoming location.Managers are responsible for our stores, they work to improve performance, help drive the business, embed change and are the gatekeepers of our brand and products.Maintain high store standards and conditions and create a positive environment for both team members and guests alike.Ensure guest needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Ensure all products and displays are presented to maximize sales and profitability. Forecast team member needs and develop a strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas.*Responsibilities:** Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on training needs to help develop an effective and vibrant team.* Maintain store current teams by recruiting, selecting, orientating and training employees* Maintain store team member loyalty by coaching, developing and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results* Understanding weekly sales information, schedule expenditures; analyse variances; initiate corrective actions* Identify current and future guest requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual guests and training others in a position to understand service requirements* Ensure availability of stock and service.* Protect employees and guests by providing a safe and clean store environment* Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements* Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures in line with GDK brand standards.* Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed* Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the team members needs and that of the store and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent* Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable* Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control* Analyse sales figures and forecast future sales* Ensure standards for quality, guest service and health and safety are met* Respond to guest complaints and comments* Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues* Tour the store regularly, talking to colleagues and guests to identify or resolve urgent issues* Maintain awareness of market trends in the hospitality industry, understanding forthcoming guest initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doing.Job Type: Full-timeExpected hours: 50 – 55 per weekBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Paid time off* Paid training* Vision insuranceShift:* Day shift* Evening shift* Night shiftLicense/Certification:* Driver's License (Required)Shift availability:* Day Shift (Required)* Night Shift (Required)* Overnight Shift (Required)Ability to Commute:* Centereach, NY 11720 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Centereach, NY 11720: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: In person
