We ensure they get there.Overview:iGo Motors is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined Porter to support our reconditioning operations. This role is far more than just moving cars—you’ll be a key player in our Final Quality Control (FQC) process, helping ensure that every vehicle meets our standards before heading to the lot. You’ll also assist with parts retrieval, light facility maintenance, and general shop support.Primary Responsibilities:Final Quality Control (FQC) Driving & Vehicle MovementDrive reconditioned vehicles to assess overall readiness for saleReport mechanical concerns, odd sounds, driveability issues, or warning lightsOrganize vehicles within the lot and stage them for detailing, transport, or technician inspectionAccurately tag and track vehicle status throughout the reconditioning processParts Retrieval & Shop SupportRetrieve parts from the on-site junkyard or parts storage as requested by techniciansProperly label and deliver parts to the appropriate bay or team memberAssist techs with moving tools, equipment, or vehicle components as neededFacility Upkeep & OrganizationKeep the shop floor clean and orderly (sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, etc.)Maintain fluid stations, cleanup areas, and general supply organizationDispose of hazardous materials appropriately, following safety protocolsInventory & AuditingAssist with inventory checks on parts and vehicle locationsConduct lot audits and report discrepancies to supervisorsGeneral DutiesBe a team player, ready to jump in where needed across departmentsHelp set up workspaces for technicians and assist in prepping cars for the sales lotSkills & Qualifications:Mechanically Inclined: Able to identify common mechanical issues during FQC test drivesBasic Automotive Knowledge: Familiarity with vehicle components, noises, and drive functionsValid Driver’s License with a clean driving recordPhysical Stamina: Capable of lifting heavy parts and standing/walking for extended periodsDetail-Oriented: Notices small issues before they become big problemsAdaptable & Dependable: Willing to handle various responsibilities with urgency and careTeam-Oriented: Collaborates well with techs, managers, and detailersThe pay range for this role is:13 - 15 USD per hour(Columbia, KY)
