Luciana’s in Dana Point is celebrating its 40th anniversary as the premier location for neighborhood Italian cuisine in south Orange County. Luciana’s offers patrons a breadth of fresh locally sourced products, craft cocktails, and an extensive award-winning wine list that are all designed to impress and keep our guests returning.Our managers are expected to be the leaders of the restaurant, and executor of our hospitality. As the General Manager, you will be an integral member of our management team. You will support service while continuing to develop and coach your team. You will oversee front of house operations of the restaurant and work with the kitchen to execute quality product and service to each guest.This position is a salaried manager position with approximate 8 hour workdays. Luciana's is currently dinner service only. PM availability mandatory.*Responsibilities for Manager:** Oversees the shift in absence of the owner. Executes superior guest relations, flow of business, and service standards. Will assist the owner with duties such as ordering, purchasing, receiving, and storage of all food products* Oversees the flow of the business during business hours. Being active in all areas of the restaurant (front desk, bar, kitchen, and main dining room) for the duration of the shift. Walking the building to ensure all areas of service are being met to company standards and providing feedback and coaching as needed* Assists with financial operations of restaurant: accuracy of safe, change orders, and banks, calling vendors when needed, and troubleshooting variances* Learn and assist with human resources related to the crew* Forecasting the need for product based on inventory counts* Writes the schedules for the workgroups: Server, Bartender, Host, Busser* Develops incentive programs, generates sales building culture and assists with marketing strategies and programs* Ensures that all food products meet company recipe specifications for preparation and quality* Actively participates in recognition of crewmembers, provides in the moment coaching on shift (coaching)* Makes a labor management plan and executes proper labor decisions each shift* Participates in interviews and selection of new crew*Essential Skills/Experience for Restaurant Manager:** At least 21 years of age* 6 months to a year as a Manager in full service restaurant* Flexible schedule required-able to work nights, weekends and holidays* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., 10-20 is typical* Ability to reach up to 6 feet, 2-4 is typical* Ability to move through 24 inch aisles and spaces as small as 12 inchesJob Type: Full-timePay: $68,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Paid time off* Paid trainingShift:* 8 hour shift* Night shiftAbility to Relocate:* Dana Point, CA 92629: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
