This is the job for you!*2nd shift hours are from 12pm to 12am Monday through Thursday, Fridays as needed!**Job Summary: *The Manufacturing Supervisor provides plant leadership and overall employee supervision while serving as the shop floor management leader to all production employees on a particular shift. The Manufacturing Supervisor receives specific production goals and limited direction from the Manufacturing Manager and Company leadership. The Production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of product quality and timely delivery to meet customer expectations and achieve corporate objectives. The Manufacturing Supervisor is directly responsible for the quality and quantity of all work done on a shift, ensuring the safety and security of all shift employees. The Supervisor will champion the REACH core values at IEA.*Essential Duties and Responsibilities *include the following with other duties assigned as necessary*:*· Responsible for on-time work order completion according to production schedule requirements· Reviews daily production schedules and plans work and staff assignments for the appropriate shifts based on sales forecasts, required man-hours, production capacity, materials availability, and available manufacturing/warehousing space.· Directing, monitoring, prioritizing, and expediting daily activities to facilitate timely completion of all fabrication and weld work orders.* Monitors work-in-progress and spot-checks completed work to ensure that standards are met.* Assumes administrative duties not limited to attendance point system record keeping, time off request forms, promotion, and transfer forms, disciplinary, training rosters, performance evaluations, safety training, and coaching forms.· Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.· Identifying and helping to resolve discrepancies on work orders/routings.· Anticipates and determines causes of delays in shift operations and takes appropriate action to expedite production and materials delivery to meet schedules.· Attend daily required meetings to provide status updates on upcoming work orders and corresponding customer orders.· Anticipate, mitigate, and strive to avoid any delays or defects that can occur during the manufacturing and testing processes· Collaborate daily with other work centers to track the progress of materials and parts required to fulfill customer orders and jobs.* Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders and plans optimum workflow for the area.· Tracking and reporting Work center on time, Work center utilization, Work center efficiency, MRR’s, 6S scores, and customer on-time-delivery with weekly Tower presentation· Participate in continuous improvement—improving work center layout, writing ECN’s, employee cross-training, and other projects as assigned* Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them.* Generate purchase order requisitions for department supplies and tools.* Upholds work rules, counsels employees, and initiates disciplinary measures where appropriate.* Collaborates with HR for all staffing, disciplinary, and safety needs.* Directs/oversees the training of all employees to maintain staff proficiency for all area tasks.* Responsible for training and developing leads to ensure that they too are upholding all the required company policies and procedures within production, safety, and environment.* Works in a safe manner at all times, ensures that safety rules are followed without exception, and participates fully in any and all Company safety programs.* Responsible for closing and securing facility at the end of each shift.* Responsible for employee timecard and time management in company’s HRIS system.* Ensures that all work is done in accordance with and adheres to IEA’s ISO and Quality standards.* Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential duties.*Physical Demands:** Maximum lifting requirement (pounds): 100 (occasionally, assisted lifting), 20-50 (frequently).* Maximum moving requirement (pounds): 100, assisted lifting.* Maintaining physical condition necessary for the following: Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, stooping, squatting, and twisting upper body; infrequent climbing or sitting.* Working at heights off the ground up to: 20 feet.* Vision requirements: Close, distance, and peripheral vision; depth perception.*Work Environment:** Work location: Metal fabrication/assembly shop, and shop office with computer.* Exposure to: Fumes, airborne particles, wet/humid (non-weather) conditions, toxic/caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts/equipment, inclement weather conditions.* Personal protective equipment requirement: Safety glasses, safety shoes. Gloves and ear protection as necessary.*Position Requirements:** Key skills, abilities and knowledge:o Ability to communicate (oral/written) with employees and others effectively.o Ability to direct and lead subordinates and others safely and efficiently.o Ability to train and develop leads, to ensure culture and performance standards are being upheld within the departments.o Ability to plan, organize and direct multiple work activities simultaneously.o Working knowledge of Warehousing equipment, processes, standards, and best practices.o Ability to read, understand and interpret field documents, shop drawings, and blueprints.o Excellent computer skills: Office 365, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, and MS Teams required.o Strong knowledge of ERP programs is desired.o Knowledge of occupational hazards and the ability to follow safe work practices.o Extensive knowledge of radiator assembly, construction, and repair—parts, materials and methods a plus.* Experiential: 10+ years of manufacturing experience with 5 years minimum as a lead/supervisor.* Educational: Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing-related discipline is highly desirable. Associate degree in manufacturing or related technical area is desirable.
