Full-Time, Regular 8 hr. schedule Monday - Friday, with start times of 5 a.m. or 6 a.m. possible. Some overtime M-F, typically very few Saturdays. Good hand-eye coordination and good finger dexterity are essential for some aspects of this position. Tools and/or machines may be used.GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the assembly, quality inspection, and final packaging of Door Locking Systems and/or Handle Sets by performing the following duties:* Assemble component parts by hand and/or using tools and/or machines* Basic machine operation with the ability to trouble-shoot basic mechanical issues.* Use a variety of precision measuring instruments to check part quality.* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and sanitation requirements* Perform inspection checks to ensure quality* Package final assemblies* Support data collection and continuous improvement activities* Cross-train with others in the department.* All other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE:* Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a collaborative, dynamic environment.* Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to follow work instructions in English.* Good hand/eye coordination with excellent finger dexterity* Demonstrates Quality & Dependability.* Ability to handle packages of up to 50 lbs.* Ability to be on your feet for an 8-10 hour shifts* Prior experience with power tools and or light machine operation beneficial.Online application preferred, but can also apply in person at 205 E.
