The Training Coordinator will play a crucial role in developing and implementing training strategies that foster employee growth.*DEPARTMENT*: Human Resources*JOB TITLE*: Training Coordinator*REPORTS TO*: Human Resources Manager*JOB PURPOSE*: The Training Coordinator is responsible for organizing, implementing, and evaluating training programs for employees in our manufacturing environment. This role ensures that team members are properly trained on safety procedures, equipment operation, production standards, and quality expectations to maintain optimal efficiency, compliance, and performance.*AUTHORITY: *All employees have the authority to stop operations/production for the following three reasons: 1) a quality defect, 2) an unsafe act, or 3) a health hazard.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Assists with the development of all plant training programs* Delivers training for new hires, cross-training, upskilling, and safety compliance.* Coordinates and schedules internal and external training sessions.* Partner with supervisors, Group leads, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training needs.* Maintains training records and ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards.* Monitors the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary.* Supports onboarding and orientation processes for new manufacturing employees.* Assists in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.* Ensures compliance with OSHA, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, and other applicable standards.* Tracks employee certifications, licenses, and required renewals.* Supports continuous improvement initiatives by promoting employee development and training.* Coordinates with equipment vendors for specialized equipment training when needed.* Assists departments in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.* Assists in organizational training and development efforts.* Maintains Human Resource System records and compiles reports from database as needed.* Other duties as assigned.*QUALIFICATIONS ** *Experience, Competencies and Education*· Associate or Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Human Resources, Teaching, or related field (or equivalent experience).· 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.· Experience in training coordination, facilitation, or adult education.· Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.· Knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety protocols, and lean manufacturing principles.· Ability to manage multiple training projects and deadlines.· A well organized and self-directed individual who is "politically savvy" and a team player.· An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.· A good educator who is trustworthy and willing to share information and serve as a mentor*. *· *Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.*· *OSHA 10/30 Certification is a plus*· *Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt is a plus*· *Train the Trainer certification is a plus** *Language Skills*Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
