We proudly serve a wide range of industries, such as defense, aerospace, medical, agricultural, automotive, and industrial, with an unwavering commitment to high-quality products and exceptional customer service.*Position Overview:*As a CNC Spring Maker/ Setup Technician, you will be a key contributor to Newcomb Spring's commitment to precision manufacturing and quality. This role involves setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining CNC spring and/or wire form machines to produce springs that meet exact specifications. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our production processes.*Responsibilities:** *Setup and Operation: *Set up and operate CNC spring and/or wire form machines, including Itaya, Mec, Wafios, HTC, and Simco, to manufacture various types of springs according to specifications.* *Programming: *Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs to produce springs and wire forms that meet quality standards.* *Maintenance: *Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.* *Quality Control: *Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.* *Documentation: *Document and submit First Article and In-Process inspections. Log labor time and counts in the MRP system.* *Collaboration: *Work closely with other departments (Grinding, Secondary, etc.) to produce finished products of the highest quality. Collaborate with other members of the coiling team to solve technical challenges, maximize team output, and assist each other as necessary.*Qualifications:** *Experience: *Minimum of 2 years’ experience in setup of CNC spring coiling and/or wire forming machines (WAFIOS, Itaya, MEC, or similar), is required.
