CNC Machinist

Job Summary:Javin Machine Corp. is seeking a Class 1 Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter, and is prepared to set up and operate a variety of CNC lathes, mills, or mill-turn machines.Responsibilities:* Setting up and operating CNC machines to manufacture aerospace parts* Reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings* Providing ideas to improve manufacturing and make suggestions for process improvement* Calculate dimensions and tolerance using measuring instruments* Perform routine maintenance on machinery, if needed* Light/simple program writing, if neededSkills:* At least 5 years’ experience in tight tolerance manufacturing* Familiarity with Lathe machines – particularly Fanuc Controls - is a big plus* The ability to do some light programming (simple programs at a minimum)* The ability to read manufacturing prints and understand GD&T* The ability to use manual inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial bores, etc. Effectively and accurately.* Strong attention to detail* Experience with Mastercam and Autodesk Inventor is a huge plusThis position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
