We have been serving the WNY area for over 50 years.We are looking for a few qualified applicants who understand the job shop atmosphere in machine shops. Our shop caters to machining that is in the mid-size to large size machining arena. This can be anything from castings, flat plate to weldments. We utilize large CNC vertical bed mills, Rotary grinders, CNC lathes, CNC vertical lathes. Giving you the experience to last a lifetime.Here are some of the requirements / qualifications that we are looking for.* Expert use of all machinist precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier calipers, dial indicators.* Experience with the set up and operation and maintenance of all manual machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders, drill press.* Demonstrates use with knowledge of all hand and power tools used in manufacturing.* Experience safely using overhead cranes, jib cranes and their associated rigging. This also includes forklift operations.* Excellent communication and team interaction skills.* Proven ability to work independently as well as lead/participate on teams.* Self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision.* Proven math skills (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication & Division. Trig would be useful).* Proven experience using computers and standard software packages (MS Office, E-Mail etc.).* Journeyman Machinist (this is not a requirement) – completed 4-year apprenticeship with a Minimum of 2 years of experience in a job shop atmosphere.* Experience using MasterCam / BobCad to generate programs.* Hands on experience with disassembly / assembly of machine shop equipment.* Knowledge of tolerances, clearances, and finishes.* Experience using CMM’s systems (Roamer Arms)* Demonstrates understanding of precision machining & assembly Q/A processes· Experience with AutoCAD – TurboCad· Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to improve quality and reduce scrap.· Set up machines for short production runs or one-offs.· Learn and use G&M code programing (MDI Input).· High level of analytical ability, problem-solving skills, team-working skills.· Experience with reading and following instructions from CADD drawings.· Must have ability to understand manual machining equipment & work to close tolerances efficiently.· Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records regarding work orders.· Ability to trouble shoot equipment, problem solve, and correct when needed.· Must comply to all federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations pertaining to health, safety, and environmental regulations.· Ability to work other duties as needed..Benefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Disability insurance* Employee assistance program* Employee discount* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Parental leave* Professional development assistanceJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary, InternshipPay: $21.00 - $33.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* OvertimeSupplemental Pay:* Bonus opportunitiesShift availability:* Day Shift (Preferred)Ability to Commute:* Buffalo, NY 14210 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Buffalo, NY 14210: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
