The Red Lion Champaign is looking for an *Assistant General Manager* to join our team. We reward our employees with competitive compensation and benefits, frequent growth and promotion opportunities, and a lively, collaborative working environment.*A few of our exciting benefits*● Competitive Salary● Semi-annual bonuses for retention and performance● Employer-sponsored medical insurance● Paid Time Off, including holidays, personal days, and vacation● Company discounts*Why work with us?*● Fast-paced, exciting work environment● On the job learning, with opportunities to learn countless transferable skills and for promotion / growth● Small business work provides regular opportunities for collaboration directly with company owners / leaders*Key Responsibilities: *● Ensure day-to-day business operations at The Red Lion run smoothly● Organize, run and supervise smooth and efficient daily opening and closing shifts to create an exceptional and safe experience for guests and employees● Lead our hourly employee team in a way that encourages camaraderie and excitement to promote a fun and safe atmosphere● Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and training employees, and assist the GM with HR and administrative duties as needed● Assist GM in managing costs, driving sales and growing the business in support of financial goals● Assist with GM tracking and reporting financials, taking inventory, and managing budgets● Collaborate with the broader management team to develop promotions, discuss marketing strategies, identify advertising opportunities to drive business● Provide good customer service and support security staff in de-escalating guest issues and concerns as needed● Enforce store and government policies with guests and employees to maintain a safe, compliant environment● Perform regular and ad hoc inventories of beverages and other store supplies; place orders and accept and inspect deliveries● Use good judgment when dealing with challenges pertaining to guests and employees● Work a variety of days and shifts (including days, late nights, and weekends)● Move and lift up to 10 pounds, frequently move and/or lift up to 25 pounds, occasionally move and/or lift up to 50 pounds*Preferred Qualifications: *● Willingness to be flexible and adaptable, learn on the job and think outside the box,● 2+ years experience in hospitality, marketing, sales or other related field●● Ability to build relationships with co-workers and guests to drive business and foster collaborative work environment● Strong organizational and time management skills; demonstrated history of trustworthiness and reliability● Interest in or experience with entrepreneurship; excitement about driving sales and growing a small businessJob Type: Full-timePay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Employee discount* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceShift:* Evening shiftWork Location: In person
