_*EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER - Full Time *__*Position Summary:*_Plan and manage the housekeeping, laundry, and breakfast Attendants departments of the hotel. Train and direct the employees in the daily operations and cleaning of guest rooms, meeting rooms, public areas and back of the house areas. Strive to achieve customer (guests, employees, corporate, owners) satisfaction while meeting/exceeding financial goals. The major areas of responsibility/management include: Guest Rooms, Public Areas and Back of the House Areas.*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**1. *Manage the Human Resources in the department in order to attract, retain, and motivate the employees. Hire, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication vehicles, discipline, and terminate, as appropriate with the assistance and direction of the General Manager.*2. *Implement company programs (IHR/Franchiser) and manage the operations of the departments in a manner consistent with Federal/State laws and regulations and Wyndham’s policies and procedures to ensure a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.*3. *Be responsible for the purchasing of linen, disposables, glassware, and paper products used by the housekeepers and laundry staff.*4.* Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and materials on a daily basis. Fill in for Inspectors when necessary.*5.* Manage Special Project assignments on a daily basis.*6.* Resolve customer complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality.*Abilities & Experience:*/* Possesses unblemished, NYS Drivers License. Ability to drive manual transmission a plus./* Four plus years of employment in a related position/* Must possess advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the Rooms Discipline and Hospitality profession. This includes experiential knowledge required for management of people and complex problems./* Ability to make decisions with only general policies and procedures available for guidance./* Supervisory/Management skills; hiring, training, scheduling, firing, disciplinary actions, staff evaluations.Must possess excellent communication skills.*Employees supervised:* Housekeeping, Laundry, Housekeeping Inspector._*Days scheduled will vary, to include weekends and some holidays, based on hotel occupancy. *_Job Type: Full-timePay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hourBenefits:* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceShift:* Day shiftAbility to Commute:* Buffalo, NY 14203 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Buffalo, NY 14203: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
