Kennel Assistant

Northern Paws Pet Lodge is looking for a part-time Kennel Assistant, preferably with animal experience, to join our team in our down-home boarding facility. We offer pet boarding, day care, and other pet related services. Looking for candidates who are 18 years or older. Potential to learn receptionist duties, depending on experience.*Job Description:* Entry level - Part Time position assisting in all aspects of Lodge operations. Flexible hours, including p.m. and weekend shifts. *Weekends availability is a must.* Duties include maintaining a clean and safe environment inside and out. Ensuring our guest's mental, physical and emotional needs are being met effectively and safely. Additional tasks include assisting with the care of the pets including facility, yard cleaning, kennel cleaning, feeding and medicating.*Responsibilities and Duties** Ability to follow low stress animal handling techniques and maintain a patient manner when handling pets* Able to work independently and without supervision* Has an upbeat and outgoing personality with ability to work with a variety of personalities* Enjoy contributing to a team* High attention to detail* Able to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task* Possess problem solving and decision making skills* Flexible schedule including weekend, evening and holiday hours* Ability to stand for long periods of time and able to lift 50#* Hard working* Reliable*Qualifications and Skills*Must be able to lift up to 50lbs_Must be willing to work Holidays and weekends._Previous dog handling experience preferred but not required,Pay: $12.00 to startShift:* Evening shift* Morning shiftSupplemental pay types:* Boarding Discounts* TipsWork setting:* In-personEducation:* High school or equivalent (Preferred)Shift availability:* A.M.
