Farm Hand/Truck Mechanic

*Job Summary*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Farm Hand Mechanic to join our agricultural team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in farming with the ability to operate various farm machinery and equipment. This role requires hands-on experience in daily farm operations, including crop management and maintenance of farm facilities/equipment as well as helping out with our trucking company. The Farm Hand will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our agricultural practices while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.Pay is negotiable and willing to discuss.Hours vary and increase during busy times of the year such as planting and harvest season. Weekend work does occur, especially during busy seasons.*Responsibilities** Assist in daily farm operations, including planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops.* Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and other heavy equipment.* Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance, including semis.* Conduct repairs on farm structures and equipment as needed.* Clean out grain bins as needed* Willing to help detail equipment as needed* Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety on the farm.*Requirements** Proven experience in farming or agriculture-related fields is preferred.* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.* Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for maintenance tasks.* Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in various weather conditions.* Having/maintaining a Class A CDLJob Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 - $28.44 per hourBenefits:* Health insurance* Paid time offAbility to Commute:* Bunker Hill, IL 62014 (Preferred)Ability to Relocate:* Bunker Hill, IL 62014: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: In person
