MOLD MAKER

*GENERAL DESCRIPTION*Manufacture and repair injection molds and fixtures as required and directed by the Tooling Manager. Use tool room equipmentproperly and leave in clean, organized condition when finished. Interface with molding department to improve the quality orperformance of molds and fixtures. Maintain documentation and work area.*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** CNC program and operate to create electrodes, mold inserts and mold bases* Rough machine steel and aluminum to create mold components* Surface grind component to fit and print dimensions* Machine electrodes and electrode blanks as necessary or directed* Perform calculations to determine setups, dimensions, and operations required to create tooling components.* Operate EDM machines in order to create cavity or part detail in tooling components.* Grind shutoffs, core pins, over and unders, and other mold making grinding operations to create mold components* 7) Polish mold components as directed or required.* 8) Record time and materials used to create tooling components* 9) Make minor repairs to mold making equipment and facility.* 10) Assemble and dis-assemble molds and tooling as directed.* 1) Minimum five years as a mold maker in the plastics injection mold building environment* 2) Minimum two years building molds with little supervision or direction* 3) Minimum two years experience using edm machines* 4) Minimum five years surface grinding of all type of mold components including bypass shuttofs and angle shutoffs* 5) Minimum one year supervising apprentice mold maker*ACCOUNTABILITIES** Mastercam programming software* Proper function of tooling fabricated or repair* Dimensional acceptance of parts produced using tooling fabricated.* Fabrication of tooling within budget limits* Delivery of tooling within allotted time period* Proper documentation of process, hours, materials, and dimensions when fabricating tooling.* Equipment condition when finished using.* Overall quality and appearance of tooling when completed.* Scrap or weld required when building tooling.* Maintenance of personnel tools aThis Company Describes Its Culture as:* Detail-oriented -- quality and precision-focused* Team-oriented -- cooperative and collaborativePay Frequency:* Bi weekly or Twice monthlyTypical end time:* 3PMTypical start time:* 7AMWork Remotely* NoJob Type: Full-timePay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* Overtime* Weekends as neededExperience:* plastic injection mold making: 5 years (Required)Work Location: In person
