Program Coordinator – After-School Program

*Position Overview:*BrightPoint Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Coordinator to lead our dynamic after-school program. This role is ideal for a passionate professional with prior experience running or managing a daycare, aftercare program, or similar child-focused environment.As Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for supervising program staff, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for students, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the after-school program. You will play a vital role in shaping the experiences of the children we serve and supporting their growth outside the classroom—particularly with a focus on mental and emotional well-being.*Key Responsibilities:** Oversee daily operations of the after-school program* Create and maintain a structured, nurturing, and stimulating environment for students* Supervise staff, volunteers, and program aides* Plan and coordinate age-appropriate educational and recreational activities* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards* Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and community partners* Manage attendance records, incident reports, and communication logs* Support continuous improvement by gathering feedback and implementing best practices*Qualifications:** Bachelor’s degree in *Psychology* or a closely related field (e.g., Child Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Behavioral Science) *required** Proven experience managing or owning a daycare, aftercare, or youth program* Strong leadership and organizational skills* Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing priorities* CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)* Background check clearance required*Preferred Experience:** Direct experience working with school-aged children (ages 5–13)* Familiarity with trauma-informed care or social-emotional learning (SEL) practices* Experience coordinating with public schools or community-based organizations*Why Join BrightPoint?*At BrightPoint Wellness Center, we believe in fostering environments where children feel safe, supported, and inspired.
