*Assistant Kitchen Manager (“AKM”)**Old Route 69 Brewery, LLC – Ada, OH 45810**Summary of Position*Reporting to the Kitchen Manager (“KM”), the Assistant Kitchen Manager (“AKM”) supports day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, compliance, cleanliness, and supervision of Kitchen Team Members (“KTMs”) when delegated. The AKM ensures food is prepared according to established recipes and quality standards, maintains a clean and safe kitchen environment, and steps into leadership responsibilities as directed by the KM or President (“P”).*Primary Position-Specific Duties and Responsibilities*Primary position-specific responsibilities of the KM include, but are not limited to, the following:· *Dishwashing.* Cleans dishes to ensure the kitchen has a steady supply of sanitized plates, bowls, silverware, pots, and pans, and maintains cleanliness in the dishwashing area.· *Food Compliance & Safety.* Adheres to local health and safety standards and practices proper hygiene and food handling techniques to prevent cross-contamination and foodborne illnesses.· *Food Preparation.* Prepares ingredients and food items according to recipes and specifications; labels, dates, rotates, and stores items properly.· *Inventory Support.* Assists with receiving deliveries, maintaining stock levels, and tracking inventory as directed by the KM.· *Kitchen Cleanliness.* Maintains a clean and organized workspace by wiping down surfaces, sweeping floors, and completing cleaning and maintenance checklists.· *Kitchen Operations.* Supports smooth kitchen workflow by coordinating with KTMs and ensuring food is prepared within specified time limits.· *Multi-Station Service Model.* Reads tickets and prepares items across multiple stations while communicating effectively with KTMs to ensure timely order completion.· *Scheduling Support*. Assists with shift coverage, communicates via Sling, and supports scheduling needs as directed by the KM.· *Team Support.* Provides guidance to KTMs, helps onboard new staff, and steps into leadership responsibilities when delegated.· *Training.* Reinforces training provided by the KM and supports KTMs in learning proper techniques and procedures.· *Workplace Safety.* Maintains a safe working environment and promptly reports all accidents, injuries, and safety concerns to the KM and WM Human Resources.This job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive listing of responsibilities required for the position. There is also frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, and produce items.*Physical Demands*The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to reach, bend, stoop, carry, push and lift objects between 25-50 pounds. Occasionally, the employee may be required to lift objects greater than 75 pounds.*Position Type and Expected Hours of Work*Your schedule is based on a 40-hour work week and may vary weekly. Based on business needs, weekend work may be required. Your primary working hours will be TBD after consultation with your Supervisor.
