_Manual Machinist / Millwright_*Who We Are*· A Chicago Metro Area, high value turnkey solutions company with a focus on rapid delivery of exceptional quality solutions to heavy industry.· A union workforce of highly trained craftsman.· A partner with our customer, in a continuous process to make the customer the market leader with the understanding that by combining our efforts we have the opportunity to generate a symbiotic synergy.*Salary** $20.02-36.40 / hr Base* $25.13-45.69 / hr Field* X1.5 / hr Saturday* X2.0 / hr Sunday - Holidays*Benefits *· Paid medical, dental and vision insurance (includes spouse and children)· Retirement Plan· Vacation and Holiday Savings Plan*Key Responsibilities and Expectations:** Operate conventional manual machining tools to include engine lathes, horizontal lathes, milling machines, grinders, drilling machines, and related equipment* Operate field machining equipment; i.e. Line bore, Journal Squirrel* Safely use jib cranes, and left trucks, and associate lift rigging* Perform mechanical measurements using portable mechanical instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers.* Machine and fabricate parts using bar mills, engine lathes, slotters, grinders and drill presses* In shop & field Millwright services* Draw accurate prints for parts needing to be fabricated* Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such a as micrometers and vernier calipers* Set up, adjust and operate all of the basic machine or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine the need for repairs and adjustments* Perform daily, monthly, quarterly inspections on production equipment to maximize equipment reliability and lifecycle* Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on assigned machines and perform routine maintenance tasks on the equipment* Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition* Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor* High School Graduate or Equivalent* Journeyman Industrial Machinist Apprenticeship or Equal* Valid driver’s licenseWe are an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
