Job Description

* Performs set-ups, on a wide variety of CNC machines in a manner, which will ensure accurate and precise compliance with design and quality standards.* Monitors variations in sequence, e.g., positioning, cycle time, etc., and makes necessary corrections.* Works from drawings and/or specifications with little guidance from Team Leader.* Troubleshoots complex machining job problems.* Runs production and deburrs parts as required.* Edits programs for CNC machines using MasterCam.* Help determine best machining process.* Select and align tooling, fixtures, and attachments for machining.* Adjust machine to produce a conforming product.* Perform in-process inspection of own work while running machine.* Complete required paperwork and keep material and paperwork organized.* Provide on-the-job training to other employees in department.* Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.* Keeps Team Leader informed of job, machine, and equipment related problems as well as any other information related to work activity.* Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.* Conform to the company quality system as documented.*Summary*As a CNC Lathe Machinist on the 2nd shift, you will be integral to our manufacturing operations, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor. This role focuses on precision machining using CNC lathe technology, where your core skills in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge will be essential. You will also utilize your premium skills in CAM programming to optimize production processes. Your relevant experience with precision measuring instruments and tooling will ensure high-quality output.
