*Job Overview*We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate pre-plans, organizes and expedites food and beverage service to patrons in a prompt and courteous fashion, insuring efficient, friendly, consistent and responsible service to all guests. Consistently maintains a clean and well-organized bar at all times. Performs all duties in compliance with safety standards, health standards and the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.*Duties and Responsibilities** Provide consistent, friendly, efficient and responsible service to all guests and patrons.* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.* Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations.* Adhere to Responsible Service Policy not limited to assessing intoxication, communication, assessment and if necessary notifying managers, supervisors or MOD.* Serve wine, liquor and draught or bottled beer in appropriate portions.* Collect money for drinks served.* Process transactions accurately using cash registers and POS systems.* Utilize drink and service knowledge, and monitor customer consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service.* Communicate with management necessary orders of liquors and supplies.* Arrange bottles and glasses to make attractive display.* Prepare garnishing for drinks.* Replenish bar snacks such as chips, pretzels, and nuts.* Wear and maintain all uniforms properly.* Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders and ensure timely service.* Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food handling practices.* Manage time effectively to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service.* All Team Members maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with safety procedures, including use of required safety equipment, identifying unsafe practices or conditions, and informing their supervisor or the Safety Committee of the unsafe conditions.* All Team Members follow security policies and procedures and report all violations. Perform duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act.* Perform other duties as directed.*Qualifications and Requirements** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Graduation from high school, or equivalent preferred.* Three (3) months experience in high volume bar (100 drinks per hour) or six (6) months bartending experience.* Working knowledge of mixology.* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.* Ability to write simple correspondence.* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. These language skills must be executed in English.* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions.* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.* Alcohol Awareness Program* The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
