*Metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) Technician*_This position is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and you must be a US person. ITAR defines US person as an US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (ex."Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position._We are currently looking to fill a position focused on operating Additive Manufacturing equipment with a person that is passionate about supporting business growth and become global market leader in the AM industry. The chosen candidate will be working as a member of a cross functional team of engineering, operation, and business development to initiate and to execute projects to succeed in the world of AM.In performing this role, the AM Technician will require skills in operating additive manufacturing equipment, project management, design, GD&T, metrology, quality assurance, technical writing, and other AM specific topics. The AM Technician will support the AM daily activities with regard to equipment and shop floor maintenance, operating AM and post processing equipment, design and preparing build files, support removal, quality inspection, writing procedures, shipping, inventory and waste management.*Tasks:*•Day-to-day AM and post processing equipment operation and maintenance.•Responsible for shipping/receiving and managing inventory and waste.•Assess AM part candidates for manufacturability, design optimization and model modification potential.•Working with Engineering drawings and understanding GD&T and creating technical reports.•Responsible for quality assurance including but not limited to 1) quality documentation and control plan 2) in-process inspection 3) dimensional inspection with basic inspection tools, FaroArm and CMM•Continuous process improvement for efficient and repeatable part production, working to develop process in the direction of serial production and commercialization.•Support removal and shot peening.•Maintain and promote a positive and safe work environment.*KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:*•Knowledge in basic principle of powder bed fusion (PBF) and other AM technologies is preferred.•Ability to understand and follow procedures and industrial standards.•Skills in metrology.•Knowledge in quality inspection.•Knowledge of lean six-sigma is preferred.•Exhibits proficient technical writing skills.•Proven adaptability and flexibility as a part of team.•Strong ability to plan, prioritize and organize multiple tasks.•A demonstrated passion for additive manufacturing.•Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, high level of self-motivation.•Attention to details is critical.*EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:*•College diploma or apprenticeships in machining or manufacturing.•Minimum of 1 year’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment.•Experience in additive manufacturing is preferred.•Experience in running AM equipment and handling metal powder is preferred.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shiftAbility to Commute:* Houston, TX 77066 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Houston, TX 77066: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
