Disc Jockey Assistant

Our social wedding brand, *Sound By Design*, is growing and we want YOU to join our team!As a DJ Assistant, you will support the Lead DJ during weddings and other live events. You'll play a key role in event setup, execution, and teardown. This hands-on, fast-paced position is perfect for someone who thrives in high-energy environments and has a passion for entertainment, hospitality, and excellent customer service.*Sound By Design DJ Assistant *Under the direction of your assigned Lead DJ, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):* Assist lead DJ with full execution of weddings and events* Load, unload, and organize gear and event equipment* Set up and test audio, uplighting, photo booths, and additional tech* Adjust music and microphone volumes as needed during event* Relocate equipment during the event (ex. for ceremony, cocktail hour, reception)* Tear down and re-pack equipment post event* Capture behind-the-scenes photos/videos for social media use* Represent Sound By Design professionally at all times*Availability Requirements** Availability required Friday through Sunday* Standard shift is 10 hours (may vary by event)*Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements** Some college experience preferred* Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable with public speaking* Strong communication and interpersonal skills* Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency* Sales/marketing experience is a plus* Loyal, punctual, and well-groomed* Ability to lift 50+ pounds* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required*Compensation and Benefits** Hourly Rate: $20-$40 _(based on experience)_* Expected Hours: 10-40 hours per week* Job Type: Part TimeJob Type: Part-timePay: From $20.00 per hourExpected hours: 10 – 40 per weekBenefits:* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Referral programSchedule:* 10 hour shift* Day shift* Night shift* Weekends as needed* Weekends onlySupplemental Pay:* Bonus opportunities* TipsApplication Question(s):* Do you currently own formal attire suitable for a wedding or similar event?License/Certification:* Driver's License (Preferred)Ability to Commute:* Milwaukee, WI (Required)Work Location: In person
