Catering Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:* Manage the planning and execution of catered events* Promote and coordinate events with client representatives* Schedule employees to ensure appropriate coverage and service for events* Oversee ordering, receiving and billing functions* Provide follow up after catered events* Monitor the catering group's job performance* Manage the budget through effective food, labor and supply controls* Monitor care and operation of delivery vehicles* Coordinate and oversee internal and external catering events* Hire, train, and schedule catering staff* Ensure successful operations of catering functions including preparation, transportation, setup, and cleanup of all events* Engage professionally with individuals at all levels* Monitor care and operation of delivery vehiclesREQUIREMENTS:* 5 + years of operational management experience in the catering field* Exceptional interpersonal skills and decision making ability* Culinary experience preferred* Ability to lead, supervise, train and coordinate the catering staff* Professional engagement with clients and staff* Willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule* Hands on approach to training and development of the service team* Operational knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and catering billing systems* ServSafe Certification preferredBENEFITS:* Competitive compensation* Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance* 401(k) with company match* Paid vacations and holidaysJob Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Vision insuranceShift availability:* Day Shift (Required)Ability to Commute:* Charleston, WV 25317 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Charleston, WV 25317: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
