We're seeking passionate hospitality professionals to join our founding team and help establish our reputation as Denton's premier Mexican dining destination.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee all aspects of our guest experience and front-of-house operations. This leadership role is perfect for a hospitality professional who thrives in an upscale dining environment and is passionate about Mexican culture and cuisine.Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Service Excellence* Ensure exceptional guest service standards are maintained throughout all dining periods* Handle guest concerns and complaints with professionalism and efficiency* Create memorable dining experiences that encourage repeat visits and positive reviews* Train and mentor staff on proper service techniques for upscale dining* Maintain knowledge of Mexican cuisine, ingredients, and cultural traditions to enhance guest interactionsTeam Leadership & Development* Recruit, hire, train, and supervise front-of-house staff including servers, hosts, bartenders, to go, and support staff* Create and maintain staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage during all service periods* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching* Foster a positive, collaborative team environment that reflects our commitment to excellence* Lead pre-shift meetings and ongoing training programsOperations Management* Oversee daily front-of-house operations including opening and closing procedures* Manage reservations system and optimize table turnover while maintaining service quality* Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure seamless service delivery* Monitor and maintain dining room presentation, cleanliness, and ambiance* Handle cash management, daily deposits, and point-of-sale system operationsBusiness Development* Implement strategies to increase revenue and guest satisfaction scores* Analyze sales reports and guest feedback to identify improvement opportunities* Assist in developing marketing initiatives and special events* Maintain relationships with local business community and regular guests* Support wine and beverage program developmentRequired Qualifications* *Minimum 3-5 years* of restaurant management experience in upscale/fine dining establishments* *2+ years* in leadership role supervising front-of-house teams of 15+ employees* Proven track record of achieving sales goals and maintaining high guest satisfaction scores* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, alcohol service laws, and employment regulations* Excellent communication skills* Proficiency with restaurant POS systems, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required* Valid Texas Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)* TABC certification requiredPreferred Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field* Experience with Mexican cuisine and culture* Experience with upscale restaurant opening or concept development* ServSafe Manager Certification* Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish)What We Offer* *Competitive salary:* $55,000 - $65,000 annually based on experience* *Performance-based bonuses* tied to sales and guest satisfaction metrics* *Comprehensive benefits package* including health, dental, and vision insurance* *Paid time off* and holiday pay* *Professional development opportunities* and continuing education support* *Dining discounts* at our restaurant and partner establishments* *Career advancement opportunities* as we expand* *Flexible scheduling* when possible to support work-life balancePhysical Requirements* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours)* Capability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally* Manual dexterity for handling equipment, paperwork, and POS systems* Clear communication and hearing abilities for guest and staff interactionsHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume along with a cover letter explaining your passion for hospitality and experience with upscale dining.
