CNC Programmer/Machinist

*Classification: *Non-Exempt*Reports to: *Production Manager*Summary of Functions*The CNC Programmer is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of the machining processes.*Essential Duties and Responsibilities*· Generate CNC programs using CAD/CAM software· Develop work-holding and fixtures for machining processes· Prove out new machining processes· Modify and improve current processes· Specify proper tooling for machining and work-holding· Troubleshoot and give operator support for machining processes· Evaluate the latest metal cutting techniques and tooling· Develop process documentation· Train operators on proper machining techniques· Troubleshoot/repair machines as required· Adhere to all safety requirements· Understand and follow all 5S requirements*Competencies:*1. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photo copiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.The performance of this position frequently requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where loud sounds and vibrations are present. (Training, professional associations, industrial trade shows, vendors, customers, etc.)*Required Education and Experience:*1. Associates in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.2. Minimum 3 - 5 years programming/machining experience*Preferred Education and Experience: *1. GD&T certification2.
