▌ Job Description*Job Title: Production Assistant**Department: Production**Reports directly to: Asst. Production Coordinator / Production Manager**FLSA Status: Non-Exempt*Purpose of the PositionThe *Production Assistant* role at Frankenstein Engine Dynamics is responsible for a variety of tasks that are vital to our production and manufacturing business. This is an entry-level position that has the potential for extraordinary growth opportunities within our organization. The Production Assistant works closely within a team to achieve production goals and needs to be capable of working solely on specific tasks. Quality control and attention to detail are the two key factors for success at this role and are the only two traits we place above a solid work ethic.Key Responsibilities & Duties* Tears down and thoroughly inspects cylinder heads with detailed notes.* Uses Soda Blaster/Bead Blaster and other equipment to thoroughly clean cylinder heads.* Completes final washing and assembly of cylinder heads, billet parts, and other components using a detailed assembly sheet.* Ensures all parts are cleaned, inspected, and organized on rolling carts to move to the next station/operation.* Blasts and grinds all valves for job completion under direction of Management.* Ensures that no heads leave the shop without thorough QA, especially in the assembly process.* Assists with inventory, stocking, and picking.* Responsible for general maintenance and cleanliness of the Production Shop.* Ensures all shop trash cans are empty at all times.* Ensures all chip bins are emptied in a timely manner.* Performs routine daily housekeeping tasks to maintain and enhance the cleanliness and good appearance of work area.* Uses equipment, machinery and resources safely and efficiently.* To avoid unexpected interruptions and to keep all guests safe, each employee is responsible for enforcing the company policy that “No unauthorized personnel are allowed in machine shop.” Under no circumstances should an uninvited/unauthorized guest be permitted in the shop area without a scheduled appointment.* Keeps tools in designated work area.* Uses company computers and equipment for work purposes only.* Strives for continuous improvement in processes and quality.* Keeps current on all required technical/computer training in maintaining proficiency in job responsibilities as prescribed by Management.* Takes initiative to continuously improve upon product knowledge.* Uses good judgement and ethical business practices at all times.* Maintains customer goodwill by pleasantly greeting and acknowledging all customers he/she comes in contact with.* Treats customers fairly, honestly, and demonstrates company’s commitment to superior customer service.* Treats all employees fairly, courteously and with dignity.* This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements associated with the job.
