Front of House Shift Leader at Alma Mexicana

A Front of House Shift Leader is responsible for overseeing business operations, delegating tasks to team members and resolving problems that occur on their shift. Shift leaders perform the same tasks as employees, such as serving guests, while having the authority to manage co-workers in the absence of an assistant or general manager. Shift leaders are responsible for resolving any issues that arise and ensuring work is completed on schedule within a shift. Duties include coordinating employee responsibilities to improve efficiency or customer service, properly resolving problems and troubleshooting issues as they arise without the direction of management, & maintaining a work environment that meets company, state and federal safety and employment guidelines.Other requirements include:* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Leadership skills, like decision-making* Strong problem-solving skills* Customer service skills* Knowledge of the restaurant industry* Understanding of relevant health and safety regulations* Basic math skills* Ability to remain on feet for several hours straight and be able to carry about 50 pounds easilyHourly pay for this position is $7.25/hr, plus tips. We share tips with a tip pool among staff working the same shift.
