Potato ReceiverLocation: Old Dutch FoodsHours: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PMDays: Monday – FridayJob Description:The Potato Receiver is responsible for safely and efficiently unloading potato and oil shipments, collecting test samples, completing documentation, and maintaining a clean and organized unloading area. This role also includes moving trailers, operating a forklift, and assisting with related warehouse duties.Key Job Duties:Unload incoming potato shipments and oil deliveries.Collect potato and oil test samples for quality acceptance.Record and enter all required data into the system prior to unloading.Move and back semi-truck trailers onto the unload lift.Communicate with truck drivers and collect appropriate paperwork.Prepare samples and bring them to the lab for testing and approval.Operate a forklift to move starch totes and empty potato waste hoppers.Maintain cleanliness of unloading areas, dock, tank room, and surrounding spaces.Sweep out trailers and perform weekly cleaning of warehouse and unloading areas.Complete any additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.Job Qualifications:Valid driver’s license and Class A CDL required.Must be physically capable of performing all job duties.Forklift experience required; must be able to become certified.Ability to complete paperwork legibly and work with basic computer systems.Excellent attendance record and willingness to work overtime as needed.High-school diploma and / or GED (Required)Essential Job Functions:Drive and back up semi tractor-trailers in all weather conditions.Read and complete invoices and required forms.Operate forklifts and handle basic computer tasks.Climb ladders, stairs, and walk on elevated surfaces.Work in hot, humid, cold, wet, noisy, dusty, and odorous environments.Lift up to 30 lbs and carry up stairs; shovel potatoes when needed.Maintain situational awareness for quality and safety.Wear proper PPE and adhere to safety policies.Maintain dependable attendance and flexibility to work 40+ hours weekly.Benefits:Medical InsuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA)Dental InsuranceLife Insurance401KPensionShort Term DisabilityLing Term DisabilityHoliday PayPerson HolidaysVacationFuneral LeaveJury DutyPlease Note:This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the role.
