_*Maintenance Groundskeeper at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course*_*Job Title:* Maintenance Groundskeeper*Reports To:* Superintendent*Location: *Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course*Rate of Pay:* $17.00 - $19.00 hr*FLSA Status: *Hourly, Non-exempt,*Position Overview*Morton Golf is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper who will be responsible for performing routine labor involved in golf course maintenance and related Morton Golf properties. This includes semi-skilled grounds construction and maintenance work, operating small hand-powered equipment, and occasionally operating large equipment.*Essential Duties & Responsibilities** Set tee markers and cups on greens daily; maintain ball washers; replace tee towels and flags as needed; remove debris; sand and seed tee and drop area divots; clean flower beds.* Maintain fuel and fluid levels for all equipment daily; report equipment problems or failures to the equipment mechanic immediately.* Water and fertilize tees, greens, and fairways; under supervision of a certified applicator, spray chemicals on landscaped areas.* Assist in project work including the construction of new greens, tees, and fairways; grade and prepare soil base; lay sod; seed tees, greens, and fairways.* Install forms and lay walks and paths using gravel and asphalt mixes; excavate and backfill ditches and trenches with hand tools; repair and replace pipe on irrigation systems.* May operate mowers, dump trucks, or other light equipment.* Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.*Qualifications:** Some landscaping or golf course maintenance experience required.* High School diploma recommended but not required.* Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.* Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.* Must possess a valid California Driver’s license.* Flexibility to work outside exposed to weather conditions.* Flexibility to work M – F + weekends as needed.
