*General Manager**Location:* Butchertown*Reports to:* Director of Operations*Position Summary:*The General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of daily operations at our flagship Butchertown taproom. This role is instrumental in delivering exceptional guest experiences, cultivating a strong and service-focused team, and ensuring operational and financial efficiency. The General Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations, ownership, and department heads to maintain brand standards, optimize performance, and drive profitability. This individual will foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, and continuous improvement.*Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership** Ensure all aspects of the taproom are run in full compliance with company policies, procedures, and service standards.* Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for guests and staff.* Oversee the functionality and upkeep of the POS system and other operating tools.* Actively monitor daily operations to ensure smooth and consistent service delivery.*Team Development & Management** Lead, coach, and inspire the front-of-house team to uphold company values and deliver outstanding service.* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training to build a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team.* Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage while maintaining labor efficiency.* Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support employee development.* Foster a positive workplace culture by leading with professionalism and integrity.*Inventory & Financial Controls** Manage inventory across all taproom categories including beer, spirits, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, food, merchandise, and supplies.* Oversee accurate ordering, receiving, and stock management in accordance with budget targets.* Ensure proper cash handling procedures and reconciliation processes are followed.* Review and analyze daily sales, labor, and POS reports to identify trends and drive operational improvements.*Events & Brand Activation** Collaborate with marketing and events teams to coordinate on-site taproom events and off-site promotional initiatives.* Ensure event execution aligns with brand standards and delivers a memorable guest experience.* Prepare and support staff for successful event operations, including setup, service, and breakdown.*Compliance & Risk Management** Enforce adherence to all federal, state, and local laws, especially related to health, safety, and alcohol service.* Maintain compliance with internal policies, labor regulations, and licensing requirements.* Support resolution of escalated personnel issues in partnership with the Director of Operations.*Reporting & Strategic Communication** Provide regular performance reports to the Director of Operations, including sales trends, guest feedback, staffing needs, and operational issues.* Identify underperforming areas and lead continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders.* Serve as a liaison between the taproom team and leadership, ensuring alignment on goals and execution.*Qualifications:** Minimum 3–5 years of management experience in a high-volume hospitality or restaurant setting.* Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams.* Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.* Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management, and basic financial reporting.* Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and upholding brand integrity.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $60,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Health insurance* Paid time off* Paid training* Vision insuranceShift:* Day shift* Evening shift* Night shiftWork Location: In person
