You will need to have basic beverage (wine/beer/cocktails) knowledge as well as the ability to handle a full section of taking and delivering food & drink orders. A passion for learning about wine and how different wines pair with food is strongly recommended. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customer's experiences. Food & beverage server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus, verbalizing daily specials, and serving food & beverages. You will need to have a willingness to work quickly on your feet and have a polite and friendly attitude. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and build relationships with new and existing customers.*Responsibilities** Prepare restaurant tables with special attention for incoming guests* Attend to customers upon entrance with a welcoming attitude* Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages through suggestive selling techniques & identifying customer likes and dislikes* Take and serve orders* Run food and drinks* Weekly wine/beer/cocktail & food menu studying* Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products* Communicate needs or questions with fellow employees, manager, and/or kitchen manager*Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff** *Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude** *Issue bills and accept payment**Skills** Proven restaurant serving or bartending experience* Basic wine and beer knowledge (Management will help expand your knowledge)* Attention to cleanliness and safety procedures* Patience and customer-oriented approach* Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude* Responsible and trustworthy* High school diploma is a plus but not required*Qualifications** High school diploma or GED* Bartending and serving experience* Strong customer service skills* Knowledge of wines and cocktails* Restaurant management experience* Familiarity with POS systems* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment* Food handling and safety knowledge* Excellent communication skills* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasksJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hourExpected hours: 10 – 40 per weekBenefits:* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Food provided* Paid trainingApplication Question(s):* What is your job availability?Education:* High school or equivalent (Preferred)Work Location: In person
