*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook/Server to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional food service and meal preparation to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of culinary excellence.*Duties** Prepare and serve 3 meals per day for approximately 350 residents in a homeless shelter and rehabilitation program* Maintains cleanliness of cooking and dining areas and makes sure proper sanitation procedures are being followed by anyone in the kitchen/dining room.* Rotate food and maintains cleanliness of pantries, freezers and other food storage or preparation areas.* Wash dishes, pans and utensils as needed.* Follow all policies and procedures of organization especially boundaries.* Courteous and respectful to staff and clients.*Qualifications** Ability to follow organizations and State’s sanitation rules and regulations.* Ability to pass all inspections and audits.* Possess a current and valid food service and sanitation license or obtain licensure within 3 months of employment.* Ability to stand and walk for prolong periods of time.* Ability to lift 30-40 lbs.* Able to work varying days, times and locations including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.*Work experience requirement** Experience cooking for large groups of people*Special certificates or licensing requirements** Current State and City Food Service and Sanitation License*Education requirements** Culinary Arts Credit/ CEV's PreferredJoin us in creating memorable dining experiences through your culinary skills and commitment to quality service!Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Paid training* Referral program* Vision insuranceShift:* 8 hour shiftPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork Location: In person
