*Job Posting: Kennel Technician**Location:* Thurman's Place, Boarding and Balanced Training, Lyles, TN*Shift Hours:* 8:00 PM – 4:00 PM*Days Off:* Wednesday and Thursday*About Us:*Thurman's Place is a premier board-and-train facility situated on a beautiful 35-acre farm. We only board dogs that we have trained here, eliminating stressful boarding situations. Our mission is to provide top-notch care and training in a safe, structured, and enriching environment for every dog we serve.*Job Overview:*We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking *Kennel Technician* to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with dogs and thrives in an active, hands-on environment. As part of our evening team, you will ensure the safety, cleanliness, and well-being of the dogs under our care.*Responsibilities:** Feed and administer medications to dogs as needed.* Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and other facility spaces.* Conduct evening walks and assist with enrichment activities.* Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting concerns promptly.* Prepare dogs for overnight rest, ensuring a calm and secure environment.* Follow all safety and care protocols to maintain a clean and structured environment.*Qualifications:** Passion for working with dogs and knowledge of basic canine behavior.* Prior experience in a kennel, daycare, or animal care facility is a plus but not required.* Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.* Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in addition to bending, standing, and being active for extended periods.* Willingness to work in all weather conditions on a farm property.* Team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.*Benefits:** Competitive pay (rate based on experience).* Opportunities for growth and learning in dog handling and behavior training.* Positive and supportive team environment.* Hands-on experience in a leading dog training and boarding facility.*How to Apply:*If you’re passionate about working with dogs and ready to join our team, we’d love to hear from you!
